Our Team

All Caloundra campus staff are passionate about supporting students to successfully complete their secondary schooling, and enjoy presenting a diverse and inclusive range of extra-curricular activities.

More classic school activities such as Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals are also offered, as well as Leadership and Whole School Camps. Houses are named after local fauna, and students are encouraged to participate in all activities and events at their own level.

With two buses running each day, and dedicated Youth Workers who have extensive awareness of, and connection to local support services, Kairos Caloundra is able to provide practical assistance to students and their families.

Kairos Caloundra is proud to have been awarded the Fisher Education Provider of the Year in both 2022 and 2023, and to have been recognised again as a finalist in 2025 by Andrew Wallace, LNP Federal Member for Fisher.

Now in their eighth year, the Fisher Community Awards are among the Sunshine Coast’s most prestigious community awards programs, celebrating volunteers and achievers who make a meaningful impact across education, the environment, business, and the broader community. We are incredibly honoured to have been acknowledged for the work we do and the positive difference we strive to make.

For context, the Fisher electorate encompasses the towns and surrounding areas of Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Sippy Downs, Palmwoods, Landsborough, Beerwah, Glasshouse Mountains, Mooloolah, Maleny, Montville, Peachester, Curramore, Woodford, Conondale and Kilcoy. With so many exceptional schools, colleges, early learning centres, TAFE campuses, and RTOs in this vast region, being recognised twice as a winner and again as a finalist is a wonderful affirmation of our efforts.

We are deeply proud of this recognition and sincerely thank everyone in our school community for contributing to these achievements.

🧵Simple Stitching with Grace! 🧵Here at Kairos Caloundra we always start our day with a short morning activity. Students are offered a choice of three or four options, including high-intensity activities like basketball, volleyball, handball and zumba, or low-intensity ones like quiet reading/colouring, puzzles and quizes. This term, our talented educator Grace has been offering Simple Stitching as one of our low-intensity options. This has become so popular, we've been running it twice a week! Students have been loving the chance to express their creativity and learn the correct technique along with some valuable sewing tips! 🪡Thank you sew much, Grace! 🙏 See MoreSee Less

Our tribe were very fortunate recently to participate in the 'Wizards & Wagers' program. 🧙🎮This interactive program was co-designed with teenagers and Gambling Help educators to discuss potential risks of gambling-like activities and promote healthier behaviours. This is particularly relevant for our young people as teenagers aged 15-17 are often online playing games that have many gambling like components. 🎰A big thank you to the facilitators from Relationships Australia for running this important and informative program for our students. 🙏 See MoreSee Less

🌱 Year 10 Students Lend a Hand at Nurture Community Garden 🌱As part of their Active Volunteering hours, our Year 10 students spent the day giving back to the local community at the Nurture Community Garden, an EndED farm in Nambour. The farm hosts approximately 2,400 square metres of community produce gardens, where fresh food is grown to support those in need across the region. The produce harvested at the garden is donated to IFYS Urban Angels, who prepare and distribute frozen meals to a range of community groups—including families connected with Kairos Community College.Students quickly got their hands dirty, helping to harvest and clean freshly grown carrots and corn, while also enjoying the chance to feed and pet the farm’s friendly chickens. The day provided a meaningful opportunity for students to see how community gardens can directly support vulnerable families while also promoting sustainability and teamwork.Throughout the visit, many students demonstrated great initiative, teamwork, and positive attitudes as they worked under the guidance of EndED Farm Manager, Danny Middleton. His passion for community agriculture and education helped make the experience both enjoyable and impactful for everyone involved. We extend our sincere thanks to Danny for welcoming our students and sharing his knowledge. Experiences like this highlight the power of community collaboration, and we hope this visit is the beginning of many more opportunities to work together in the future. 🌾🤝 See MoreSee Less
