Our Team

All Caloundra campus staff are passionate about supporting students to successfully complete their secondary schooling, and enjoy presenting a diverse and inclusive range of extra-curricular activities.

More classic school activities such as Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals are also offered, as well as Leadership and Whole School Camps. Houses are named after local fauna, and students are encouraged to participate in all activities and events at their own level.

With two buses running each day, and dedicated Youth Workers who have extensive awareness of, and connection to local support services, Kairos Caloundra is able to provide practical assistance to students and their families.

For the second year in a row, Kairos Caloundra has been awarded Fisher Education Provider of the Year Award by Andrew Wallace – LNP Federal Member for Fisher.

Now in their sixth year, the Fisher Community Awards are one of the Sunshine Coast’s most prestigious community awards programs, highlighting volunteers and achievers across the Sunshine Coast who make a difference in education, the environment, business and the community, and we are incredibly honoured to be recognised for the work we do here, and the positive impact we have in our wider community.

For reference, the Fisher electorate encompasses the towns and areas of Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Sippy Downs, Palmwoods, Landsborough, Beerwah, Glasshouse Mountains, Mooloolah, Maleny, Montville, Peachester, Curramore, Woodford, Conondale and Kilcoy. This huge area holds so many worthy schools, colleges, early learning centres, TAFE campuses, RTOs, and more, so to win this category twice is a wonderful acknowledgement.

We are proud of this recognition, and would like to thank everybody in our school community for contributing to this achievement.

Meanwhile, Cert II in Hospitality students impressed everyone with their delicious mocktails, adding a refreshing touch to the event. Participation in the 'Dress Up as Christmas' theme was outstanding, with sensational outfits and plenty of Christmas shirts and jumpers that truly captured the spirit of the season. Earlier this week, the Kairos tribe were very fortunate to have Dave Kramer from Small Steps for Hannah deliver the HALT Program. The HALT Program is part of Small Steps 4 Hannah – a charity established by the Clarke family to honour Hannah Clarke and her three children, Aaliyah, 6, Laianah, 4, and Trey, 3, who lost their lives as a result of domestic violence on 19 February 2020.The Clarke Family established Small Steps 4 Hannah to raise awareness and educate children and young people to identify coercive control behaviours and H.A.L.T. the cycle of Domestic and Family Violence.Driven by the legacy of Hannah and her children, and his belief that young people have unacknowledged potential as the champions of safe and equal relationships, Dave pioneered the HALT Program. His heartfelt message of community connection invites all people to be part of the HALT Legacy by cultivating a culture of safety and respect. When safety and respect are at the core, relationships become a space where young people can grow, be themselves, and feel supported—not controlled or judged. It’s a powerful step toward building a culture of empathy, trust, and equality. The Kairos tribe participated enthusiastically, raising interesting questions which led to insightful discussions. Well done to all and a very big thank you to Dave! See MoreSee Less

🚗 Kairos Year 10s Hit the Road (Safely!) with RYDA 🚗Last week, some of our awesome Kairos Year 10 students took a detour from the classroom and zoomed into a different kind of learning experience — the RYDA (Rotary Youth Driver Awareness) program! This informative, one-day workshop is all about getting real when it comes to road safety. Designed to help teens become safer drivers and smarter passengers, RYDA covers everything from managing distractions to understanding the real impact of risky behaviour behind the wheel. 🚨There were 6 mini-interactive sessions in total, and our students absolutely nailed it! The RYDA staff were full of praise for how engaged, respectful, and switched-on the Kairos crew were throughout the day. Big congratulations to all who attended — every bit of learning counts, and this one could genuinely save lives. We’re so proud of how our students represented Kairos.
