On Monday 22 July, students from Kairos Community College’s Caloundra campus had the opportunity to attend the Sunshine Coast Careers Expo, the region’s largest and most comprehensive event dedicated to career pathways, employment, and further education.
Held at Caloundra Indoor Stadium, the expo brought together a wide range of exhibitors, including universities, TAFEs, training providers, employers, and industry bodies. For our students, it was a valuable chance to explore potential future pathways, discover new opportunities, and begin shaping their post-school journey.
Throughout the day, students engaged in meaningful conversations with admissions staff and employer representatives, asked insightful questions about career options and study requirements, and collected information on everything from gap year programs and scholarships to apprenticeships, job openings, and entry-level qualifications.
Attending events like this helps build confidence, curiosity, and direction, all key ingredients for our young people as they prepare to step into the next chapter of their lives.
