We’re proud to celebrate our Deception Bay campus, which has been recognised as a 2025 Semi Finalist in the Bendigo Bank Community Group of the Year Award, part of the prestigious 7NEWS Queensland Community Achievement Awards.
This recognition places Kairos Deception Bay among the top 10 community groups across Queensland, an incredible honour that highlights the positive impact our staff, students, and wider community make every day.
While we didn’t progress beyond the semi-finalist stage this year, being shortlisted among such inspiring organisations is a powerful acknowledgement of the heart and hard work that defines our Kairos community. It’s a reflection of the relationships, care, and commitment that make our school such a special place to belong.
To our Deception Bay team, thank you for the dedication you show in supporting every student to find purpose, build confidence, and create a brighter future. Your work continues to ripple out across our campuses and communities, making a real difference in young people’s lives.
The 7NEWS Queensland Community Achievement Awards celebrate the remarkable contributions of individuals, groups, and organisations who are making a positive difference across the state. Now in their 25th year, these awards recognise those who go above and beyond to create stronger, more connected, and more resilient communities.
The Bendigo Bank Community Group of the Year Award honours local organisations whose work improves the lives of others and fosters inclusion, growth, and community spirit, values that sit at the very heart of our school.
