We are pleased to share several staff updates at our Caloundra Campus as we begin the next chapter of the school year.
After seven years in leadership roles across both the Kairos Deception Bay and Caloundra campuses, Jason Kupke is commencing well‑earned Long Service Leave. We also acknowledge Owen Lee, who is enjoying Long Service Leave following his long‑standing contribution to Kairos since joining the Deception Bay campus in 2015. We thank both Jason and Owen for their leadership, dedication, and commitment to our school community.
During this period, Nigel Riseley has been appointed Acting Head of Campus, with Josh Denniss stepping into the role of Acting Deputy Head of Campus. We appreciate their willingness to take on these responsibilities and support the continued leadership of the Caloundra campus.

We are also excited to welcome several new staff members to the Caloundra team:
- Michael MacDonald joins Caloundra after teaching at Kairos Deception Bay for the past four years. Michael will be teaching Business Studies, Sport and Recreation, Mind Body Connect, and HPE.
- Shanaye Botten is joining the team to teach Numeracy, Essential Mathematics, and Career Education.
- Grace McClymont joins us to teach Arts in Practice, Ethics and Religion, and Pathways Conversations.
- Tom Friend has joined the Teacher Aide team, working alongside Kristy, Oki, and Hayley to support students across the campus.
We look forward to sharing more about these wonderful staff members and their work over the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page to learn more about the people who make up our Caloundra campus community.
