Share the Dignity Brings Care and Comfort to Kairos Families

Kairos Community College is deeply grateful to Share the Dignity and their wonderful supporters for donating much-needed ‘It’s in the Bag’ care packages to our students and their families.

These beautifully prepared bags, filled with essential items and thoughtful touches, have made a significant difference to those in our community who are facing tough times. Whether it’s hygiene products, personal care items, or small comforts, these donations offer more than just practical help – they show our young people that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Share the Dignity’s ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign is a nationwide initiative that collects and distributes handbags filled with everyday essentials to women, girls, and people who menstruate who are experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. These bags are filled with love by generous Australians who want to make sure that no one has to go without the basic necessities.

Thanks to this program, Kairos has been able to offer these care packages directly to our students and families most in need. For many, receiving a bag like this is not just about what’s inside – it’s a reminder that they are not alone.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Share the Dignity and every individual who donated to this incredible cause. Your kindness and generosity have brought comfort, dignity, and hope to our school community.

At Kairos Community College, we believe in walking alongside our students, providing not just education, but care, understanding, and practical support. Initiatives like this allow us to continue building a community where everyone feels valued and respected.
