An Unforgettable Emu Gully Experience

Our Deception Bay campus’ Term 3 camp to Emu Gully Adventure Education was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year and one of the most well-attended camps in our school’s history. Centred around the theme of The Challenge, students participated in an exceptional outdoor education program that brought to life the stories, values, and experiences of our ANZACs through teamwork and storytelling.

Over the three days, students challenged themselves through activities such as the Kokoda Trail, bridge crossings, paintball, buggies, and a range of problem-solving and resilience-building experiences. What stood out most was the willingness of our young people to step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and consistently choose to be challenged over the three days.

The success of the camp was made possible through the incredible efforts of our educators, youth workers, and support staff, who created excitement in the lead-up to the event and ensured every student felt supported throughout the experience. Their commitment resulted in an unforgettable camp.

We would also like to thank the staff at Emu Gully for delivering such a high-quality program and to our parents and carers for supporting their students to take part in this valuable opportunity. The resilience and character shown by our students made us incredibly proud, and the memories and lessons from this camp will stay with them for years to come.
